JPG, PNG or WebP. Photos over 1440px on the long side are reduced first. One free preview per device today. The new area is generated and can show a seam.
How to Expand an Image
Upload the photo
JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 25MB. Use a photo you took or have permission to edit. No account.
Pick a shape or the four edges
1:1, 4:5, 9:16, and 16:9 are one click. Custom edges are pixels (up to 1024 each) or a fraction up to 100% of that side.
Expand
That click uses today's free preview. There is no box for your own sentence. The finished canvas stays within 2560px on each side.
Compare, then download this file
Look at the new edges. $1.99 with no account, or 1 credit, unlocks this result only.
Uncrop a Photo by Expanding the Frame
An AI image extender adds new canvas around a photo so it fits another shape: 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, or 16:9. You can also set the top, right, bottom, and left edges in pixels or as a fraction of that side. You do not write a sentence. The free preview is watermarked and limited to one per device each day.
The added area is generated. It can disagree with the colors, objects, and small details in your photo, and a seam can show where the original meets the new pixels. Compare the preview with your photo before you pay. $1.99, or 1 HD credit, unlocks the file that was already made. It does not run the model again.
Upload only a photo you took or have permission to edit. A change you want to describe in your own words belongs on image to image AI. A larger file of the same frame belongs on the image upscaler. This page only adds space around the photo.
Image Extender vs. a Larger File
| This page | Image upscaler | Image to image AI | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What changes | The canvas grows | The same frame gets more pixels | The photo is redrawn from a sentence |
| What you choose | A shape or four edges | 4× on a small photo | Your own sentence |
| What you get | Generated pixels around the photo | A larger version of the same picture | A new picture that follows the sentence |
| HD price | $1.99 for this file | $1.99 for that file | $1.99 for that edit |
Each payment unlocks a file that was already made. None of them promise that generated detail matches the original.
When Expanding the Frame Fits
Uncrop a tight shot
The subject was cropped too close. Adding canvas gives the scene more room. The new area is a guess, not hidden detail from the camera.
A square or a vertical frame
Turn a wide photo toward 1:1, 4:5, or 9:16 when you need that shape. 16:9 does the opposite for a tall photo.
Room on one side
Add pixels to the top, right, bottom, or left when you need space. Each edge has a cap, and the whole canvas must stay within 2560px.
Not a bigger copy
If you need more pixels of the same framing, use the [image upscaler](/image-upscaler). If you want to describe a new scene, use [image to image AI](/image-to-image-ai).
What This Extender Is Not
The preview is free and watermarked, up to 1024px on the long side. The paid file is the expanded image the model returned for this one photo, with no ZeroBG watermark.
- Upload only a photo you took or have permission to edit.
- The new area is generated. It can disagree with your photo, and a seam can show at the edge. Compare before you pay.
- It does not enlarge the pixels inside the original frame. That is the image upscaler.
- There is no box for your own sentence. The model is not given a prompt from you.
- Photos are sent in at up to 1440px on the long side. Each custom edge can add up to 1024px, or up to 100% of that side, and the finished canvas must stay within 2560px on each side. Over that, the page asks you to shorten the edges. The HD download is the expanded result's real width and height, which the result page shows.
- $1.99, or 1 HD credit, unlocks the stored file. It does not buy another expansion, and it does not run the model again. This device gets one free preview a day. A run that reached the model still counts if it fails after that.
AI Image Extender FAQ
How do I uncrop an image online?
Upload a photo, pick 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, or 16:9, or set the four edges, then expand. You do not write a prompt. A watermarked preview appears on this page. One free preview per device each day. The new area is generated, so compare it with your photo.
Is there a free image extender?
The watermarked preview is free, with no sign-up, inside a daily limit of one expansion per device. The file without the watermark is $1.99 for this image, or one HD credit. Paying does not run the model again.
Can I expand an image with AI to a custom size?
Yes. Custom edges take pixels (0 to 1024 on each side) or a fraction of that side (0 to 1). The finished canvas must stay within 2560px on each side. A photo over 1440px on the long side is reduced first, and the edges are measured on that reduced photo.
Will the new edges match the photo?
Not always. The added pixels are generated. Colors, objects, and small details can disagree with the original, and a seam can show. Look at the original and the preview side by side before you pay.
Whose photo can I upload?
Upload only a photo you took or have permission to edit. The photo is processed to make this preview. See the terms for what you may upload.
What does the $1.99 download include?
One expanded file: the image already generated, without the ZeroBG watermark. The page shows its pixel size. Paying does not run the model again and does not include extra expansions. A free account includes 1 HD credit. Packs are $4.99 for 20 credits or $9 for 100.
